Kingpin Bushes:
We offer both Standard and Over Size Phosphor Bronze Kingpin Bushes.
Over-size Bushes are required as a direct replacement for the Plastic Bushes used in the early 2000’s in Morgan Front Suspension you cannot use a normal Kingpin Bush because the Stub Axles were machined Oversized at the factory to accept the Plastic Bushes. Bushes are available individually or in pairs or sets to suit your needs.
Whilst rolling changes in production make dates hard to pin down the first plastic (Devol) Bushes started to appear in 2001 and the last to be fitted were around 2005, as always check before ordering! One clue is that Plastic Bush Cars normally have a plain top bolt in that it has neither Oiler Pipe or Grease Nipples fitted.
All our Kingpin Bushes are machined with a helical internal groove for improved lubrication, these Bushes are not Pre-Sized and therefore must be reamed to final size after installation.
