Normally used on Fuel injected engines.

Using one or more low pressure fuel pumps to feed fuel from the tank into the swirl pot, the main high pressure injection pump can draw fuel from the swirl pot ensuring an uninterrupted supply of fuel to the fuel rail. The fuel pressure return line is also fed back into the swirl pot.
