Rover V8 Sumps

We have done many of these sumps, for various applications.

Morgan, Westfield, TVR, Marcos, MGBV8, TR7V8, and specials.

We always use the late Range Rover pressing ERR 4633, as these are the better quality to start.

Sumps can be standard depth, preferably, or shallower for more ground clearance, as used mostly on Marcos and Westfields.

With shallower sumps it is more difficult to baffle and control the oil. Where space allows, it helps to box the front section to gain extra capacity, and we can put extensions on the sides, known as ‘big wings’.

Rover V8 Baffled sumps (standard Oil capacity)

Based on the stock late sump pressing, we weld in both horizontal and vertical baffles including trapdoors around the oil pick up pipe.

As used by many Morgan +8 racers

We extensively modify the stock sump pressing welding on a section to the front of the sump to increase oil capacity as well as welding in multiple horizontal and vertical baffles including trapdoors around the oil pick up pipe.

Rover SD1/TR7 V8 baffled sumps

We were commissioned to remanufacture a batch of sumps to the TWR Group A Touring car specification.

Due to space limitations around the front crossmember it is not possible to use one of our "off the shelf" baffled sumps

These Group A sumps are fully baffled and come with a bolt in windage tray
